Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 during an Olympic event. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci at age six. Comaneci would go on to be Romania's gymnastics coach. Her first competition was at the national junior championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She took the title in the year 1970. In her 1972 first international meet in a preolympics junior competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975, she was awarded the All-around Junior Champion. At her first competitive event at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals, as well as one silver. The first female ever to perform a backwards double salto when dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol was a professional in the world of entertainment in her teens. She began her career as figure skater performing with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows named Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating performances.

Alexia Fast, born 12 September 1993 in Canada is an actress. Alexia Fast began her career acting at the age of 7 after she directed and wrote the short film The Red Bridge.
