April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 in seventh grade. She began playing guitar and piano lessons, sparking her interest in songwriting. In April, when she was 12 years old when she wrote her first single, Different. At 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing lyrics and perfecting her music skills. The songwriting began along with her dad and her dad in NY and LA within a short time. April included other subjects in her hit song"Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt issues like peer pressure, disabilities or even teen suicidal ideas. Lockhart has her own following and works as an online lifestyle blogger for the popular Ilia clean beauty brand. Since she was born without a left hand, Lockhart is an important part of her. It's however not the entire tale. Lockhart's Instagram account doesn't ignore the fact that she has a disability. But it also doesn't insist on her disability. It's a reminder. The message? That we are all multifaceted, and that our physical and identity self aren't as they seem. Lockhart is interviewed via video in Nashville. "I don't wish for it to dictate my life. I'm not looking to only be recognized as an expert in disabilities. However, it doesn't affect my daily routine. I continue to do the normal things and have adapted to my disability. It's a big part of my life, and it's imperative to discuss it. Lockhart is a great example of how to stay striving to be self-accepting. She still admits having gone through a few phases in her body, and felt uneasy in some instances to wear clothes that showed her arms. Now, though she dons anything she likes and uploads photos in those outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. Self-love for her was an extended trip. However, that is typical for people who has insecurities. I think that having people close to you who truly know you and see the depths of your soul is vital since they'll be those who will remind you what you concerned about?
